Terms of Service

Last updated: October 2026

1. Acceptance of these terms

By accessing or using Peacro Pay (the "Platform"), operated by Peacro Technologies Africa (Pvt) Ltd ("Peacro", "we", "us"), whether as a payer, an organisation listed on the Platform, or any other visitor, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.

2. What Peacro Pay is

Peacro Pay is a payment facilitation platform. We provide the technology that lets organisations ("Merchants") listed on the Platform accept payments from individuals ("Payers") via third-party payment gateways, currently PesePay and ZB Smile & Pay.

Peacro is not a bank, is not a party to the underlying transaction between a Payer and a Merchant, and does not take custody of funds beyond what is necessary to route a payment through the relevant gateway to the Merchant.

3. Organisation listings

Organisations listed on Peacro Pay are responsible for the accuracy of their own listing — name, description, what they collect payments for, and the amounts requested. Peacro reviews listings before they go live but does not independently verify every claim an organisation makes about itself or its activities.

Peacro reserves the right to suspend or remove any listing that it reasonably believes is fraudulent, misleading, or in breach of these Terms, at its discretion and without prior notice where necessary.

4. Payments and gateways

All payments are processed by regulated third-party payment gateways. By making a payment, you also agree to the applicable terms of the gateway processing that transaction. Peacro does not store full card numbers, wallet PINs, or other sensitive payment credentials.

Payment confirmation depends on the gateway's own processing and, in some cases, a status check performed after you return to Peacro Pay. Occasional delays in confirmation are normal and do not necessarily indicate a failed payment.

5. Fees

Peacro may charge Merchants a service fee for use of the Platform, as agreed at the time of listing or as published from time to time. Payment gateways may separately charge their own processing fees. Any fees applicable to a specific payment will be disclosed before you complete it, where practicable.

6. Refunds and disputes

Refunds, cancellations, and disputes about what a payment was for are between the Payer and the Merchant they paid — Peacro is not the seller of the underlying goods, services, or cause being paid for, and does not adjudicate disputes about them. Contact the Merchant directly using the details on their payment page.

If a payment fails to reach a Merchant due to a technical fault in the Platform or gateway, contact Peacro support with your payment reference and we will investigate.

7. Prohibited use

You may not use Peacro Pay to collect or send payments for anything unlawful, to misrepresent who you are or what an organisation does, to launder money, or to circumvent the fees or review processes of the Platform or its payment gateways.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Peacro is not liable for losses arising from a Merchant's conduct, a payment gateway's processing failure, delays outside our control, or a Payer's own error (such as entering an incorrect amount or selecting the wrong organisation). The Platform is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind beyond those required by law.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the Platform after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Zimbabwe. Any disputes arising from use of the Platform will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Zimbabwe, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protections that may apply in a Payer's own jurisdiction.
